Witness appeal after fatal collision involving motorcyclist in Mountain Ash

A 51 year old bus driver who was arrested by police has been released under investigation

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a crash involving a bus in Mountain Ash on Saturday.

A 48 year old man from the local area died following the incident on Cardiff Road at around 4.50pm.

The driver of the bus was arrested but has since been arrested under investigation.

Inspector Dai Patalano said: “The road was closed for several hours following the incident and the public is thanks for its patience during this time.

“The driver of the bus, a 51-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the offence. He has been released under investigation.

“Officers investigating the collision are appealing to any witness who has yet to come forward or anyone who has any dash-cam footage of the collision to contact us."
