Wales rugby union captain and hooker Dewi Lake has suffered a bicep injury, which could rule him out for up to 12 weeks.

It puts his participation in the 2025 Six Nations in jeopardy, as Warren Gatland's side's first game is against France on Friday 31st January.

Wales finish their campaign at home to England on Saturday 15th March.

In a pre-match press conference Ospreys head coach Mark Jones said:

"I think 12-weeks was the high end of it.

"Knowing Dewi and the quality of rehabilitation, all we know is the operation went well.

"Dewi's got an awesome mindset and he's very professional."

"There's nothing to suggest he can't beat that target.

Lake made his international debut against Ireland in the 2022 Six Nations Championship.

So far, he's played 18 times for Wales.
