Wales have been drawn in Group A4 for next year's UEFA Nations League alongside Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland.

Robert Page's side will play against some of Europe's elite after Wales were promoted to League A of the competition.

They'll meet familiar foes Belgium once again after drawing the world's number one ranked team in the World Cup qualifiers earlier this year.

Wales will also clash with the Netherlands and Poland for the first time in a qualifying campaign since 1996 and 2009 respectively, which will see the Dragons likely line up against some of football's best in Robert Lewandowski and Virgil Van Dijk.

Robert Page told BBC Sport that Wales deserve to be pinned against Europe's elite: "We're not here by chance, we're not here be fluke, we deserve to be in this top division," said Page.

"I hope all of the supporters back home watching the draw were really proud waiting for the top teams in League A to come out. We're a part of that, and that speaks volumes about where we've come from in recent years.

"If we want to continue to improve and develop our players, we have to play against the best teams in Europe and the world.

"Those teams that we've been drawn against, we'll have to be at our best to develop and to learn.

"We'll respect the teams but we won't fear them."

Wales won promotion to the top tier of the Nations League after winning their league B group ahead of Finland, the Republic of Ireland and Bulgaria.

They'll play four matches in the top division in June 2022 and the remaining two in September, with the finals being played in June 2023 should they progress through.
