The public are being invited to have their say on a new design proposal for Swansea city centre’s Castle Square.

Its been developed by Swansea Council after earlier public consultation on initial design ideas.

The plan shows a new-look Castle Square with more greenery, including planting, lawned areas and a higher number of trees.

New steps, seating, lighting and paving, as well as two green-roofed commercial units are also included in the plans.

The existing water feature would be removed and replaced by a new water jet feature which can be switched on and off so that events could take place there.

Consultation runs till May 24th

Council director of place Martin Nicholls said:

“As part of the formal planning process for this development the public can have their say in a pre-application consultation from April 25 to May 24. We’d like as much public feedback as possible.”
