A mum from south Wales has paid tribute to her community - saying she's "speechless" - at the support they have shown her little boy who has terminal cancer.

It's estimated 7000 vehicles - including supercars, lorries and motorbikes - were part of a massive convoy travelling through Swansea yesterday for 3 year old Morgan Ridler who doctors say has just a few weeks to live.

It was organised by family friend Andrew Sherwood who initially just thought it would be small event with just a few bikes but the response from those who wanted to support Morgan and his family was huge.

Cars, lorries, motorbikes and emergency vehicles were part of the convoy

Posting on the Morgan's Army Facebook page she said: "S P E E C H L E S S

"I really don’t know what to say- but I’ll have a go! Our whole community and beyond turned out today. Everyone joined together to stand alongside us in Morgan’s final days.

"Over 7000 vehicles were caught by traffic cams making a convoy from the services through to Swansea airport all passed out house for Morgan to see.

"Thank you if you turned up today.

"Thank you if you donated today.

"Thank you if you joined in today.

"Thank you if you were patient today.

"He absolutely loved seeing all your vehicles. This day and his smile will live with us forever and ever. We can’t thank you enough.

"Gorseinon has proven that community spirit is still unbreakable when it really comes to it. It brings us so much joy that so many families were out and enjoying.

"Matt was particularly touched when he overheard a little girl talking to her dad at the airfield saying ‘Dad, this is the best day ever’ and that’s what we want Morgan’s legacy to be. Raising money to help others through events that bring communities together.

Our hearts are full even if they are broken ❤️

"We never fight alone, and his legacy is that no one will fight alone again when facing childhood cancer in South Wales thanks to Morgan’s Army."

After Morgan was diagnosed 19 months ago - mum Natalie set up Morgan's Army to help support the families of children who have cancer.
