A man has been arrested over the death of a woman in Swansea.

Detectives are treating Rebekah Williams' death in the Bonymaen area as unexplained.

The 42 year old was found at her home on Thursday night.

A 36-year-old man is being held, with police saying Rebekah's family have been informed.

Her family have released a statement, paying tribute to her:

“Rebekah was a complex woman but very loved by all her family.”

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Davies, from South Wales Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Rebekah’s family and friends at this time.

"There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area as we progress our investigation to establish the exact circumstances of her death.

“We would urge anyone who was in the area of Myrddin Road on Thursday between 8am to 9pm, and who have not yet spoken with officers, to please come forward.

“It is vital that we establish what happened, so I am appealing to anyone with information to please contact us.”
