Suspects 'discard' their clothes amid South Wales Police pursuit in Cardiff

The force have called it 'poor decision' on the part of the offenders after drugs and cash were found amid the clothes

After being chased by police in east Cardiff - a number of suspects in the city stripped off and left their clothes behind.

The Roads Policing Units tweeted earlier to say they picked up a large amount of cash and drugs during the incident.

The police have called the incident 'poor decision' on the part of the offenders after they discovered the cash and the drugs left behind amid the clothes.

On Twitter, they said: "Following a pursuit in the east of Cardiff the persons made off and discarded their clothing in the process.

Poor decision on their part when we found it along with a large amount of cash and drugs."

Enquiries into the incident - number 802 - are still ongoing.
