More than 100 schools are closed across south Wales after snow fell for some areas overnight.

A number of primary and comprehensive schools in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil and Powys are shut.

The Met Office have issued an updated yellow weather warning affecting the region until Friday afternoon.

We're being warned to take extra care on the roads and it's possible we'll see some disruption on public transport.

Following the wintry conditions Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue service have issued a message urging people to take extra care when driving in snow and ice.
