The school and college where four boys missing in North Wales attended have released statements, describing the boys as 'well thought of' and 'well known by the school community'.

Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Fitchett, and Hugo Morris are believed to have travelled to the Eryri National Park, previously known as Snowdonia, on Saturday 18th of November. The last contact made with the boys was on Sunday morning.

The teenagers had travelled from Shropshire and the car they were using has since been found by North Wales Police. There is currently a police cordon set up on the A4085 between Garegg and Pont Aberglaslyn.

The college the teenagers are currently attending as students, Shrewsbury College, said in a statement:

"The college’s immediate thoughts are with the family and friends of the teenagers missing in North Wales. We can confirm that all four of the teenagers are students at Shrewsbury Colleges Group and are studying A Levels with the college.

"This is a very worrying time and we all want them to be found safe and well".

Headteacher of Meole Brace School in Shrewsbury, where all four of the teenagers attended school previously , Alan Doust said:

"Jev, Harvey and Wilf left us last year at the end of Year 11, and Hugo the year before. All four boys were well-thought of and well-known by the school community.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families for their safe return."
