One person dead after A48 collision

Road users are advised to avoid the area as it is anticipated that the road will remain closed for some time

Dyfed-Powys Police is in attendance of a three-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 10:50am today, Friday 19th July 2024, on the east bound carriage way of the A48 near to Foelgastell.

One person has died and another person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The A48 between Cross Hands and Llanddarog remains closed, both east-bound and west-bound.

Road users are advised to avoid the area as it is anticipated that the road will remain closed for some time.

Diversions have been put in place, however the police anticipate high volumes of traffic and delays.

Dyfed-Powys Police will update its social media once it has reopened.
