New rules to control Coronavirus in Wales are being discussed to help manage the pandemic after lockdown.

The Welsh Counsel General Jeremy Miles has told a live briefing of journalists that talks between the Welsh Government, police forces and local authorities are taking place this week about what to do to keep the virus in check after 9th November.

Its as he warned deaths with the virus in Wales had jumped from 7 yesterday to 37 today.

"We all want to see an end to this pandemic. But without an effective vaccine we have to find a way of bringing and keeping the virus under control. This week we are working on new national measures, regulations, guidance and advice which will come into force on November 9th to help keep us all safe."

Help for businesses

Mr Miles thanked Welsh businesses for all the work they had put in and changes they had adopted.

He announced the extension of the Welsh Government's Economic Resilience Fund which opened up an additional £300 Million for Welsh businesses hit by lockdown measures.
