Police say 55 year old Angharad has gone missing from her home in Nantgaredig.

Police, fire and mountain rescue services are helping to search for a missing women in Carmarthenshire.

55 year old Angharad is being treated as a high risk missing person with her family said to be extremely concerned for her whereabouts.

She was reported missing from her home in Nantgaredig late on Sunday afternoon.

She is described as a white female, about 5ft 1inches tall, of medium build with brown hair. She is believed to be wearing blue jeans, a blue jumper and pink wellington boots.

Dyfed Powys Police say people in the area will continue to see a police presence as efforts to try and trace her continue.

The force says a number of enquiries are ongoing - include a search in and along the river in Nantgaredig and the surrounding area.

A helicopter from the National Police Air Service was also part of the search effort on Monday.

Police thank the community for their patience and respectfully ask that people do not attend the area during the hours of darkness as the terrain is challenging.

Anyone who has seen Angharad, or anyone who has information that could help the search, is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police.
