Police in Bridgend have been given further time to question two men and woman arrested on suspicion of concealing the birth of a child.

The South Wales force tells us additional time was granted yesterday at Newport Magistrates Court authorising the further detention of all three.

Two men, aged 37 and 47, and a 29-year-old woman were arrested in Wildmill, Bridgend on Saturday evening on suspicion of concealing the birth of a child following the discovery of the bodies of two babies.

Police say the investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to get in touch.
