Pembs footballer club campaign to reopen village pub
The Crymych Arms has been closed since 2021
A football club in Pembrokeshire is campaigning to re-open a local pub which has been shut for more than a year.
The Crymych Arms closed in October 2021 after the previous owners retired and couldn't find a buyer.
Now, CPD Crymych are selling shares for 100 pounds for the community to buy the pub and reopen it.
Community councillor Cris Tomos said: "At the junction as you come through the village you come to the Crymych Arms pub.
"It's been such a shame that its been shut. There are no lights where it would have been the centre of the village.
"It just gives the impression of there being little life in the village".
He added: "People have really missed it as a place to socialise, to have food and just get together.
"It's a real hub of a pub but we hope we can see it again being opened".
