It's been announced Margam Park will host the Urdd Eisteddfod in 2025.

The youth festival was last at the site back in 2003 and is this year being held in Llandovery.

Neath Port Talbot Council says it'll be a boost to the local economy.

Every year - tens of thousands of competitors from across Wales take part whilst over 100,000 people visit the Maes.

Siân Eirian, Director of the Urdd and Arts Eisteddfod, said: "On behalf of the Urdd I am pleased to announce Margam Park will be the home of the Urdd Eisteddfod 2025.

"It was very good to see unanimous support from representatives from the area this evening to invite the Urdd Eisteddfod back to Neath Port Talbot.

"2003 was the last time the Urdd Eisteddfod visited Margam Park. As a Movement we are very much looking forward to returning once again in 2025 and sincerely thank Neath Port Talbot Council for their outstanding support."

Councillor Alun Llewelyn, Deputy Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council, said: "This is a special honour for Margam Country Park and for Neath Port Talbot as a whole, and a great vote of faith in the area, the park and the professional way it is run.
