Man questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following crash
The single vehicle collision happened on the A472 between Crumlin and Hafodyryns Road early on Saturday
A man is being questioned by police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal crash yesterday morning near Newbridge.
The 31 year old from Ebbw Vale is also being questioned on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink and drugs.
A 28 year old woman died in the single vehicle crash which happened at around ten to four on Saturday morning on the A472 between Crumlin and Hafodyryns Road.
Gwent Police is asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has CCTV or any motorists with dashcam footage on the A472 around the Crumlin area between 3.30am and 4am to contact them.
The 31 year old man remains in police custody.
