Man in critical condition after serious assault in Neath

A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical but stable condition after a serious assault in Neath Town Centre.

South Wales Police the 46 year old's injuries reportedly happened sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning,

Officers have launched an appeal for witnesses and information.

In a statement, South Wales Police Neath and Port Talbot said: "We are investigating a report of a serious assault believed to have taken place in Neath town centre sometime between the evening of Friday May 10 through to early morning on Saturday May 11.

"A 46-year-old man has been taken to hospital and is in a critical but stable condition.

"Any witness of this incident, or anyone with further information, is asked to contact South Wales Police by one of the following means quoting 2400153040."
