Man charged with murder following sudden death of 36-year-old in Porth

A man has been charged following the sudden death of 36-year-old Christian Dean in Ynyshir, Porth.

Police were called to a house on Graig Road just before 1pm on Thursday June 26.

Christian died on the same day.

In a statement, Christian's family said:

“The loss of Christian has deeply affected his family, friends, and the wider community who knew him well.

“Christian was a well known and loved character. Christian brought energy, humour, and warmth wherever he went. He was a devoted father of three and a much-loved son, brother, partner and friend. His loss will be keenly felt by many.

“The family has asked for privacy at this time as they come to terms with their grief.”

34-year-old Thomas Griffiths, from Ynyshir, has been charged with murder.

He has been remanded into custody.
