Man arrested in connection with Cardiff assault
A cordon's been in place in Hansen Street since this morning
A man has been arrested over an attack in Cardiff, which left another man in a critical condition.
The victim was found injured in Hansen Street in the city centre at around 9am this morning.
A 33 year old man is in custody and is being questioned on suspicion of assault.
A South Wales Police spokesperson said:
"We can confirm that a 33 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of an assault which occurred on Hansen Street, Cardiff, at approximately 9am today (Friday, January 31).
"A 39 year-old man remains at the University Hospital of Wales where his condition is described as critical.
"A police cordon remains in place at the scene of the incident on Hansen Street.
"Anybody who was in the area at the time who may have seen what happened is urged to contact 101 - give reference *2500032515."
