A major search is underway for a woman who went missing while walking in Carmarthenshire.

Dyfed Powys Police say the H.M Coastguard, RNLI and the Mountain Rescue Team are helping in their efforts to find Susan Smith.

She was last seen near the Carmarthen Bay Holiday Village in Kidwelly around 1.30pm on Saturday.

Officers have asked a person who was flying a drone in that area on Saturday afternoon to contact them.

She is described as approximately 5ft2 inches tall, petite with shoulder length blonde hair and believed to be wearing black jeans, a black fleece type jacket and navy and grey walking boots.

She is known to walk along the beach to St Ishmaels and Ferryside.

Sergeant Jess Jones said: "We are currently conducting a search of the area with the assistance of H.M Coastguard, R.N.L.I and the Mountain Rescue Team.

"We have been made aware that someone was flying a drone in the area yesterday(Saturday) and we would ask that person to contact police as soon as possible."
