Ten homes were evacuated earlier today (20th June) and bomb disposal experts were sent to Manor Park in Llantwit Major.

The area is now safe and the police cordon is no longer in place.

It's after old artillery shell was found in the area.

South Wales police said in a statement: "Ordnance found in Manor Park, Llantwit Major earlier today has been made safe and a cordon has been lifted.

"Around 10 homes were evacuated while bomb disposal experts carried out their work, after an initial 100m cordon was reduced.

"The community is thanked for its patience and understanding."
