Lewis Capaldi is taking a break from touring and seems to have cancelled all shows for the rest of the year - including at Chepstow Racecourse.

The 26 year old singer of hits including 'Before You Go' and 'Someone You Loved', announced in a social media post that he will be taking a break from touring "for the foreseeable future".

The singer says he needs time to adjust to the impact of Tourette's and to get his "mental and physical health in order".

He visibly struggled during a set at Glastonbury and was due to perform in Wales this Saturday, 1 July.

In a statement published on social media, and retweeted by Chepstow Racecourse's official feed, Capaldi said: "I'm so incredibly sorry to everyone who had planned to come to a show before the end of the year but I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve.

"Playing for you every night is all I've ever dreamed of so this has been the most difficult decision of my life."
