Man who ran Class A drugs line in the Welsh Valleys jailed

He was caught after police found drug related messages on his phone

A drug dealer who ran an established Class-A drugs line in south Wales has been jailed for four years.

Callum Watts, from Tredegar, was caught after police found drug related messages on his phone following an arrest on December 31st for a driving offence.

The police investigation revealed that the 24-year-old was running an established Class-A drugs line across Pontypridd and the Rhondda Valleys.

On Wednesday, Watts appeared at Cardiff Crown Court and pleaded guilty to the supply of Class A drugs and a driving offence.

He was sentenced to four years in prison.

Detective Sergeant Lia Jones said:

“We will always be relentless in our efforts to tackle drug supply and all forms of organised criminality which affects the communities that we serve.

“This case is just one example of how our Organised Crime Unit in Mid Glamorgan is tackling drug dealing in the community.

“We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming.

“Anyone with suspicions or information about illegal drug supply is urged to contact us.”
