Investigation into dog attack on baby in Caerphilly continues
It's understood the injuries the five month old suffered aren't life threatening
Gwent Police say enquiries are continuing after a 5 month old baby was attacked by a dog in Caerphilly.
It's understood the child suffered non life threatening injuries and remains at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for treatment.
Emergency services were called to an address in the Penyrheol area at around 09:10am on Saturday morning after reports of an attack.
A dog was removed from the scene by police.
Gwent Police Chief Inspector Laura Bartley said: "Officers will be making further enquiries at this time and will remain at the scene as the investigation progresses.
"It is possible that you may see ongoing police activity in Caerphilly as part of this work but please do not be alarmed.
"If you have concerns or information then please do stop and talk with us."
