Glyncoch man who sexually abused a 7 year old girl jailed
Victim had kept what had happened to her a secret until 2021

A man from from Glyncoch, Pontypridd, who sexually abused a girl when she was only 7 years old has been jailed for 15 years.
The girl kept what had happened to her a secret until 2021, when she bravely disclosed the abuse she had suffered at Andrew Webb’s hands.
He was arrested and charged.
He pleaded not guilty to two counts of oral rape but was found guilty of both offences following a trial.
Today the 35-year-old was jailed for 15 years and subjected to a restraining order preventing him from ever contacting his victim. He was also put on the sex offenders register for life and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
Detective Constable Linsey Murray, who led the case, said:
“I would like to pay tribute to the victim for the courage they have shown throughout this investigation.
“Every child has a right to grow up free from fear and abuse and I hope this case demonstrates our dedication and determination to pursue justice for anyone who has suffered like this.
“I would encourage anyone who has been the victim of a similar crime to report it to us, regardless of how much time has passed, as the crime will be fully investigated, and they will get our full support.”
