Former Wales flanker Alix Popham thanks fans for 'kind messages of support' after IronMan injury
Popham withdrew from the event on Sunday and was taken to hospital
Former Wales rugby international Alix Popham has thanked people for their messages of support after he was hospitalised with a suspected concussion.
He was forced with withdraw from the IronMan Wales event in Tenby on Sunday after being kicked in the head during the swim event.
The 43 year old - who has early onset dementia - was taking part to raise money for his charity which supports those who've suffered concussion.
Posting on X, player welfare group Progressive Rugby said the former Wales flanker was still feeling dazed but is out of hospital.
