Man ordered to pay over £5,000 for fly-tipping captured on hidden camera
Camera caught several incidents leading to fines in Neath
A man from Bristol has been ordered to pay a fine of more than £5,000 after being caught on camera fly-tipping in Neath.
Jurij Sarcenkov, aged 40, was filmed depositing waste in Crynant on multiple occasions, leading to an investigation by Neath Port Talbot Council's Waste Enforcement section.
The incidents took place near the entrance of a company off the A4109, where repeated illegal dumping prompted the installation of CCTV by the company affected.
Footage showed the man driving a blue BMW to the site, where he left containers, builder tonne bags, and other waste items before driving away.
DVLA checks identified Mr Sarcenkov as the registered owner of the vehicle. A Council Tax check linked him to a property in Crynant, Neath, where further evidence, including similar waste items, was found.
Despite choosing not to comment during questioning, Mr Sarcenkov pleaded guilty to three offences at Swansea Magistrates Court on 2nd April 2026. He was fined £3,000 for the offences, ordered to pay £869.94 in costs, and handed a £1,200 Victim Surcharge, totaling £5,069.94.
