Five Arrested in Southampton Drug Raid

Police seized drugs, a large ball of an unknown substance, a large quantity of cash and a number of mobile phones.

Five people have been arrested during a proactive policing operation in Southampton.

On Saturday (11 March) at 11.45am, officers entered a flat in Howard Road and searched the property. A number of suspected wraps of drugs, a large ball of an unknown substance, a large quantity of cash and a number of mobile phones were seized. An empty ziplock bag was also found in a toilet bowl. The phones and the substances will be examined.

The following arrests were made:

Two men aged 19 and 37 and a 40-year-old woman, all from Southampton, and a 30-year-old man from Chandler’s Ford, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug.

A 41-year-old Southampton woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug and child neglect.

All have been bailed while enquiries continue.
