First gold medal for Team Wales at Commonwealth Games

Wales has its first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Going into day four - Team Wales sits 10th in the medal table with 9 medals.

The gold medal came from para-cyclist James Ball and pilot Matthew Rotherham in the Tandem B sprint event.

It's the pair's second medal having picked up silver on the opening day in the Tandem Kilo.

Also in cycling, Cymru's William Roberts picked up bronze in the men's 15km scratch race final and Eluned King also got third in the Women's 25km points race.

Day three in Birmingham also saw the mixed triathlon relay team claim silver and swimmers Lily Rice and Medi Harris taking bronze.
