Dispersal zone in Abertillery as police tackle anti social behaviour

A dispersal zone is in place in Abertillery as Gwent Police tackle anti social behaviour in the town centre.

It means the force has extra powers to ask people to leave the area if they're involved in disorder.

If they return after being moved on they face being arrested.

The 48-hour order came into effect at 8.40pm on Sunday 31 March and will remain in place until Tuesday 2 April.

Gwent Police tell us the order covers Church street, High Street, Foundry Bridge, Division Street, Powell Street, Somerset Street, Alma Street, Princess Street, Castle Street and the surrounding area.
