Family release tribute to 74-year-old killed in Barry road crash

The family of a 74-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle road crash have released a tribute to him.

David Searle, known to all as Dai, died on Cardiff Road in Barry last Tuesday (9th November).

In a statement, his family said: 'He passed away very unexpectedly. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend.

'He had a great sense of humour and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.'

His wife, Yvonne, added: 'He was loved very much and I will miss him until the day we meet again.'

South Wales Police are continuing to investigate the collision, and are asking anyone with dash-cam footage to contact them quoting occurrence 2100393475.
