Police appeal to find man who went missing after assault in Cwmbran

The victim's not been seen since he was taken into a car on Friday night

Police are appealing to the public to help find the victim of an assault after he went missing in Cwmbran.

The force said that two men were seen to have assaulted a third man before taking him into a car on Friday night (November 30th).

Officers believe the car was dark in colour and had been parked on Henllys Village Road, close to the junction with Pant Gwyn Close in the Henllys of the town.

Gwent Police added that the incident was reported to have taken place at around 11pm on Friday evening.

Speaking about the case, Detective Inspector Ian Bartholomew from the force said that several lines of enquiry have been opened as police try to find the victim of the attack.

"Multiple lines of enquiry to locate the victim and identify those involved are continuing," he said.

"We are appealing for the public’s help and would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of Henllys Village Road and Pant Gwyn Close last night around 11pm to get in touch."
