Mother and young child hit by van in Swansea

South Wales Police are investigating after a mother and young child were hit by a van in Swansea on Tuesday morning (1st October).

Officers were called to an incident near Swansea's Guildhall at around 8:50am.

A police spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called following a collision between two pedestrians, a mother and young child and a Peugeot van driven by a 57-year-old local man near Swansea's Guildhall.

Paramedics attended, the child was un-injured and the adult suffered minor injuries.

Investigations continue."
