Clean-up operation as Wales starts recovery from Storm Eunice

More windy weather forecast for Wales could hamper clear-up efforts in the aftermath of Storm Eunice.

A yellow weather warning from the Met Office for wind is in place until 6pm tonight and affects much of Wales.

A clean up operation underway in a bid to get services back to normal.

Great Western Railway says services won't be up and running until mid morning on Saturday at the very earliest.

People hoping to use public transport on Saturday are being urged to check before they travel.

Chris Pearce, from Network Rail has this advice for travellers.

He said: "We're urging everyone to check your journey before you set out to travel.

"There will be regular updates posted throughout the weekend on Transport for Wales and the Great Western Railway website and all the companies involved on Twitter so please check before you travel and hopefully we'll get you moving as soon as possible.

Motorists are also being warned of further "challenging" conditions on the roads because of fallen trees and debris.
