Cardiff Airport in top 10 list of airports with longest average flight delays
It comes 7th in a list of UK airports
Cardiff Airport makes the top 10 of British airports with the longest flight delays.
It's 7th in the list - with the average longest delay around 24 minutes,
according to analysis of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) data by the PA news agency.
Bristol is 6th with a slightly longer wait of 26 minutes.
The airport with the worst was Birmingham airport followed by Manchester.
The analysis took into account all scheduled and chartered departures. Cancelled flights were not included.
May and June were the worst months for flight reliability in 2022 as the aviation sector failed to recruit and train enough staff to cope with a surge in demand for holidays.
