Welsh actor Michael Sheen's backing a petition to the Welsh Government calling for support for a young woman with profound learning needs to be able to go to college closer to home.
Kalene Walton's daughter Lillie is due to finish at Ysgol Maes y Coed in Bryncoch - but she says the nearest options as Lillie gets older are in Cheltenham or Pontypool.
Lille's mum says she feels young people like Lillie are being "forgotten about".
On the Change.Org petition site she said:
"think it’s shameful that living in Port Talbot not only are there no provisions suitable in our own town for her , but I am being expected to take her miles from home for continued education. I feel young people like my daughter are being forgotten about.
"I feel If she was an elderly person or even a criminal she would be placed closer to home."
