With just days to go until the brand new series of The Apprentice launches, BBC bosses have unveiled the 18 candidates who are hoping to impress Lord Alan Sugar and his trusty aides Baroness Karren Brady, Tim Campbell MBE, and Claude Littner.

From bankers to hair salon owners, to accountants and sales executives, this year's hopefuls will do everything it takes to win that all-important £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar himself.

Bosses have dubbed the 2023 series 'bigger and better' than ever, as this year's candidates head to overseas countries such as Dubai and Antigua to compete in the challenging tasks.

A 30-second long trailer was released ahead of the new series, showing Lord Sugar saying: "This is not a game. This remains the toughest job interview, it's an opportunity of a lifetime.

Series 17 of The Apprentice begins on BBC One on Thursday 5th January at 9pm.
