New Order announce new live album and film ‘Education Entertainment Recreation’
The recording is taken from their show at Alexandra Palace
New Order have shared details of a new live album and concert film ‘Education Entertainment Recreation’ from their 2018 show at Alexandra Palace.
The gig recorded for the album and film included a set-list full of the band’s classic records including songs from their latest album ‘Music Complete’ released in 2015, New Order tracks and Joy Division covers.
Both the live album and film are released on 7th May on a number of formats. A limited-edition box set will also be released, featuring a book and art prints.
The Alexandra Palace show was the band’s only performance in 2018. The setlist incorporated some of their biggest hits including: ‘Regret’, ‘Crystal’, ‘True Faith’ and ‘Blue Monday’.
Last year, New Order announced they will be playing a huge homecoming gig at Manchester’s Heaton Park in September 2021.
The gig will feature support from fellow dance legends Hot Chip and upcoming band Working Men's Club.
