Woman stabbed with screwdriver in Poole
Police want to hear from witnesses to the attack
A woman in her 30s has been stabbed with a screwdriver by a man walking past her in Poole.
It happened at 11.30am last Sunday (24th August) in the underpass between Vanguard Road and Serpentine Lane.
A witness reported that the man walked up to her, thrust the tool into her hip and then walked off towards Holes Bay.
The victim wasn't seriously hurt.
Police Constable Reuben Wilkinson said, "“We are investigating this incident, and we are keen to hear from any witnesses who saw what happened.
"We are also keen to hear from a woman walking in close proximity to the man at the time the incident took place and would ask her to please come forward should she see this appeal. She is described by the victim as white, five feet three inches tall, with dark-coloured hair pulled back in a bun. She was wearing a black vest top and black, cycling-style shorts.
"I would also ask any motorists driving in the area at the time with dashcam fitted to please review their footage to see if they have captured footage of the suspect."
