Woman seriously hurt after being struck by van in Bournemouth

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a van in Bournemouth.

The collision happened just after 3.00pm yesterday (Thursday 3rd November), on Victoria Place, at the junction with Spring Road.

A white Vauxhall Vivaro van was involved.

A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital following the incident.

Police Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the Dorset Police traffic unit, said:

“An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would ask any witnesses to please come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists with a dashcam who were travelling in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch with relevant footage to help my enquiries.”
