Woman hit by e-scooter injured after leaving Take That concert in Southampton

Police say the rider of the e-scooter failed to stop at the scene

A woman's suffered a head injury after being hit by an e-scooter while leaving a Take That concert in Southampton.

Police were called at about 11pm on Sunday 2 June to a report of a collision between an e-scooter and a female pedestrian who was leaving the show at St Mary's Stadium.

This happened at the junction of Northam Road and Britannia Road.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, suffered a head injury and is recovering in hospital.

The e-scooter rider, who did not stop at the scene, was described as female, mixed-race, with a large black afro, and wearing a black hoodie.

The e-scooter was not one of the Voi hire scheme vehicles.

The force said would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, as well as any motorists who were in the area and have dash cam footage of the e-scooter rider.
