Woman bitten by dog in Bournemouth's Kings Park

The victim suffered injuries to her hand and arm

A woman's been bitten by a dog in a Bournemouth park, with police investigating.

The victim was walking her own dog in Kings Park just before 3.00pm on Monday (6th January) when she was suffered injuries to her arm and hand caused by an animal.

Her dog was also attacked, with the male owner of the black, stocky Rottweiler-type dog not leaving any details.

The man is described as:

  • Five feet nine inches tall
  • Slim build
  • Short grey beard
  • Wearing a navy blue beanie hat
  • Black Puffa-style coat

PC Carys Faulder, of Bournemouth police, said:

“This incident resulted in a woman requiring treatment to a nasty arm injury.

“We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and as we have now obtained full details from the victim, we are now in a position to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.

“I would also urge the man involved to please do the right thing and get in touch with us so we can take your account of what happened.”
