Weekend closure of A3 southbound near Petersfield for resurfacing

The stretch towards Horndean will remain shut until 6am on Monday

Part of the A3 in East Hampshire is closed for a second weekend for resurfacing work.

The southbound carriageway is shut between the A272 junction at Petersfield, and the A3(M) junction 2 at Horndean.

The closure has been in place since 9pm on Friday, and will last until 6am on Monday.

Traffic is being diverted via the A272 towards West Meon, down the A32 towards Fareham, and then the A3 via Purbrook, Waterlooville and Cowplain.

Overnight closures are also taking place between 9pm and 6am from Monday 28 October to Tuesday 5 November.
