Two vans have been found burnt out in the New Forest - with no clues as to where they came from.

They were discovered by Hampshire Police officers on patrol with Forestry England rangers, in land opposite the Pipers Wait car park near Nomansland, off Roger Penny Way.

As well as the damage of the vans themselves, there are concerns that the damage caused to the forest floor could take years to repair itself.

The wreckages have been removed by Forestry England.

Hampshire Police are now appealing for any information as to how the vehicles ended up there, or who they belong to.

If you can help with any information, you can contact officers on 101, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

In April a stolen mini bus was found burnt out at Turf Hill just three miles away from Nomansland.

The vehicle was taken from the Andover based charity Youth Options.
