Two young schoolgirls approached by man in Gosport

He followed them as they walked to school

Police are appealing for dash cam, doorbell or CCTV footage, after a man tried to speak to and followed two 11 year old schoolgirls in Gosport.

It happened around 8:15am on Thursday 16 October. A unknown man tried to speak to and followed two eleven-year-old girls as they were walking to school.

The girls were unharmed and reported the incident on arrival at school that morning.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said:

"Our enquiries are ongoing and we continue to liaise with the school, but would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the same time."

The man has been described as being:

• White

• Around 50 to 60-years-old

• 5’8”

• Short grey hair in a mohawk style

• Wearing a white knitted jumper and light-coloured trousers
