Two men charged after man stabbed in Gosport

The victim was also attacked with a bottle in an alleyway

Police investigating a serious assault in an alleyway in Gosport have charged two men.

The victim, in his 20s, was stabbed in the abdomen and hit over the head with a bottle near Thornbrake Road at around 5.20pm on Monday (September 16th).

Hampshire Police said his injuries are not life-threatening.

22-year-old Marc Bache, of Brockhurst Road in Gosport, and 33-year-old Andrew Lewis, of South Street in Gosport, have both been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of a knife in a public place.

Lewis has also been charged with robbery in connection with this incident.

Bache appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court yesterday (Thursday 19th) and was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on October 21st.

Lewis was remanded in custody by police to appear before Magistrates today (Friday 20th).
