Two arrested during fraud investigation at Poole property firm

Two people have been arrested by police investigating a property management firm covering Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Fraud officers are looking into Initiative Property Management Limited - which has a portfolio of more than 2,000 flats and apartments and its own office at Branksome Business Park in Poole.

A man in his 30s from Bournemouth has been questioned on suspicion of fraud by abuse of position; carrying on the business of a company with the intent to defraud creditors or for another fraudulent purpose; entering into or being concerned in the acquisition, retention, use or control of criminal property; and concealing, disguising, converting, transferring or removing criminal property.

A woman aged in her 60s from Bournemouth has also been arrested on suspicion of entering into or being concerned in the acquisition, retention, use or control of criminal property.

Both of them been released under investigation.

Dorset's Economic Crime Unit is continuing to carry out enquiries, and has asked anyone with further information into the business to contact them.
