Three teenage boys arrested on suspicion of car theft in New Milton

The trio were detained in Southampton in the early hours of Tuesday morning

Police have arrested three teenage boys on suspicion of a car theft in New Milton.

The vehicle was reported stolen on Station Road overnight between Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 August.

The car has since been recovered.

The three boys were detained in Southampton in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by constable.

A 17-year-old boy from Totton was detained on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by a constable.

And a 16-year-old boy from Bournemouth is being questioned on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by a constable.

The trio remain in police custody at this time.
