Teenager killed in bus collision in Portsmouth

The crash happened close to Gunwharf Quays on Saturday night

An 18-year-old woman has died following a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian near to the Gunwharf Quays shopping centre in Portsmouth.

The teenager, from Gosport, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident on St Georges Road on Saturday night (January 29th).

Police were called to the scene at 10.30pm.

Her next of kin have been made aware.

Road closures were in place for a number of hours in the area as a result.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has Dash Cam footage of the incident, including taxi drivers that were using this route at the time.
