A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed in a street in Southampton.

The 19-year-old was found injured in Coleman Street, St Mary's, at around 1.00pm on Friday.

Police said the man has since been discharged from hospital.

An 18-year-old man from Queensway, Southampton, has also been charged with possession of a knife, blade or pointed article and violent disorder.

He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning.
